Our Cocoa Powder Varieties
Natural Cocoa Powder
Gives an intense chocolate flavor perfect for baked goods. This powder has a fat content of 10-12% and when used with baking soda will created a leavening action that will cause the batter to rise when placed in the oven. Well suited for cookies, brownies and most chocolate cakes.
Dutch-Processed Cocoa Powder
Dutch-Processed or Alkalized Cocoa Powder is processed with alkali to neutralize the acids. Has a 10-12% fat content with a medium-brown color, mild flavor, and is easy to dissolve in liquids. Its delicate flavor makes it ideal in most baked goods where baking powder is the leavening agent.
